Listening to this album today - don't know much about it other than it's on Zorn's label and was recorded with Bill Laswell's involvement.

I'll have to do some more research and find out more about these guys......

Cup of Tea: Ineeka Himalayan Black

I'm finally giving this product a try. My local store is discontinuing it - which even at half price is still more expensive than most teas. This product should have appealed to me: a loose leaf tea with the convenience of teabags. However, what didn't appeal to me was the price- which is why I've waited until now to give it a try.

That being said: the improved taste of loose leaf tea is immediately noticeable and with the ease of a teabag. However, I think the "pyramid" teas that have come out recently also achieve this balance and from what I've seen much more economically. So I think I'll stick with the pyramid teas until a more affordable and convenient alternative presents itself.

Right now, I am listening to Deadline - Dissident which is an album that is unusual in that it features three bass players: Jonas Hellborg, Bill Laswell, and Bootsy Collins.

Today I've been listening to the album "Lodge" by Fanu and Bill Laswell. Not real familiar with Fanu prior to this album, but of course, who hasn't heard of Bill Laswell. But also this album features Bernie Worrell among others and I think it will warrant repeated listenings.

What's on tap?

Last night I tried this "Double IPA" from Arcadia on tap - don't think I've had this one before. Had to have a couple pints!

The ultimate IPA in my opinion is Founder's "Devil Dancer" which I have yet to have on tap (only bottled!)

Book of the moment

Right now I'm just about finished with Elmore Leonard's "Cuba Libre"
This isn't my favorite Elmore Leonard book by far - but that's not to say that it's bad.
Next up for me is Jason Starr's "Twisted City"
