What's on tap? 750 GRILL

750 Grill in North Muskegon now has a coupons available at http://www.restaurant.com and features New Holland Sun Dog and Founder’s Centennial on tap!

Also Bear Lake Tavern has been bought by one of the owner’s of Alleyways – so maybe we can expect a lot more beers on tap soon!

What's on Tap? Grandville/Kalamazoo edition

Angie went to Kalamazoo this weekend to check Brian Vander Ark at Charlie Foster's (Seafood Restaurant.) They were doing dinner packages, but I had a couple of gift cards left from Christmas, so we decided to stop at Carabba's in Grandville on the way down instead. (After I seeing and smelling the dishes at Charlie's Fosters, I wish we would have opted for the dinner package - Angie & I are planning a return trip for dinner sometime!)

Carabba's sole local brew was Fonder's Pale Ale.
Charlie Foster's had a better selection: Kalamazoo's own Winter White & Two-Hearted, as well as New Holland's Poet & Arcadia I.P.A!

New Beers from Founders

Got this news from this weeks podcast at:

www.mlive.com/kalamabrew

Founders has a new double-IPA, called Double Trouble, which I am very looking forward to as their triple, Devil Dancer is one of my all-time fave brews. Double Trouble is at least 9.4% alcohol, according to their estimates.
They will also be introducing a bourbon-barrel aged version of this brew, called the Hand of Doom, at the Winter Fest next month, of which they've said POTENT is an understatement, and that the 1 oz sampler is all you will need....

They will also be featuring the Imperial Stouts and Porters in bottles once again after several years of absence, thanks to their recent expansion.

4-Pack of the week: Founders Backwoods Bastard Bourbon Barrel Aged Ale

Also picked this up at Ladd's - at almost 10% alcohol I figured I could do with a 4-pack this week instead of my usual sixer
This is the same recipe as Dirty Bastard I believe except that it's been aged in Bourbon barrels!
